Kinja'd!!!

I went out to dinner and someone tagged my Fiat. I came back to an apologetic note. This car is tiny. It takes up like half a space. If you can’t parallel park in a space this big, take the damn bus.

Wow. That’s...wow. Did the apologetic email at least have a name and number, or insurance info?

That would suck if it didn’t. OTOH there’s always security footage, if you can get it.

Idiots! At least your car is glossy red. I’d use some Krylon Fusion and good to go :)

Fuck’s sake. There really should be punishments for certain insurance claims. I know someone who has backed into their own car, in their own driveway, multiple times.

My buddy did that to my sisters car when we all lived together. She got home Star he did. He was going to pick up some stuff late at night and didn’t look behind. Backed stright into her Lancer

Just a number. I called, she sounded very apologetic and said she’d take responsibility. She’s supposed to send me her insurance info later tonight. I’m willing to cut her some slack there, as I’ve misplaced mine in the past.

Eh, at least I wasn’t driving my Miata. She’s safely in the garage.

At least it wasn’t just a “I hit your car. Sorry.” and nothing else...

I got one of those, once.

Seriously! And look how much space there is between the front of my car and the white line at the top of my parking space!

At least you have a human to fall back onto. I have to deal with deer. The most I can do is scream insults at them.

I live in PA, so I’m quite familiar with deer. I think we are the state with the most deer collisions each year. Not most collisions per person, as I think that’s WV but just the most total deer collisions. I killed a deer with my 1996 Saturn SL2 years ago. Hit him head on and he flew a good 20 feet up in the air.

The last deer I hit put a pretty severe dent in my FR fender, but it’s made out of pretty thick metal, so it’ll hammer out.

That reminds me, I need to write that post I’ve been thinking about...

The hood of my Saturn took the bulk of the impact. I got a new one from a junkyard and replaced my headlight. That was all it needed.

She hasn’t taken responsibility yet. For all I know, the phone number she left was a public phone and she just walked away after I called her. She’s supposed to send her insurance info tonight.

Update: I still don’t know her name or address. She texted me to say she’s still looking for her insurance card.
